Probably my favorite record that I've heard in a long time. It's a journey from start to finish. Great songs, production, vibes... it's all there. Very mellow...

This is important why? Is KSE still relevant? They don’t have a singer right?

    • It’s not, they are and they do. Answer your questions?

Didn’t know Joel was a hipster.

      • He’s not a hipster, but he actually uses his own brain and chooses to like bands based on whether he likes their sound, and not whether they are l33t m3talz br000talz

  • Slownormal

Punkybrewster, asking those two questions was just pointless. That’s like you asking everyone else’s opinion on whether your posting name may be the gayest it could possibly be, and if you even have any clue about the subjects your even talking about. Its just bad posting on your part. Do some research. Killswitch has been back in the studio for the latter part of 2011 working on yet another mindblowing/hard hitting rhythmic masterpiece of which I’m sure, unfortunately for you, you will not be able to ever comprehend. I’m sure you will be able to stay moderatley to substantially unsatisfied by Michael Boltons musical talents for the remainder of your days, so please try to stick with the “real” irrelevant stuff and keep posting irrelevant text and leave the REAL music knowledge and postings to the rest of us. We are the chosen few, not mindless sheep like the rest of you.

      Well said

Easy now, nobody is chosen to do anything. RR just asked a bandmember of one of their labelbands “what are your favourite albums of 2011?”. It has nothing to do with the question being ‘important’, why should it be important to everyone?
I find, as a guitar player, it very interesting what inspires great players from great bands. And every once in a while you’ll find a list as up above with almost no fist pumping, blood boiling metal on it. And THAT, is what’s interesting TO ME.
If you explain your opinion, but don’t pretend it is a fact.

That said, I hope Punkybrewster is trying to shake things up a little with the questions asked. Otherwise you might consider listening to music that you like, no matter the genre, (ir)rellevance, popularity, still touring or not. The most bands I listen to do not excist anymore because everyone’s has stopped or passed. Does that make it irrellevant? (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Damageplan, SRV, Beatles, Hendrix)
